10 New Cases Of Coronavirus In Nigeria

The Nigerian Ministry Of Health has confirmed ten new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria today.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire.

According to the report, 3 of the new cases were in Abuja and 7 in Lagos. This makes it a total of 22 cases in Nigeria.

All 10 new people are Nigerians. 9 of them travel to Canada, Spain, France, Netherlands, and United Kingdom. They all returned during the last one week.

The 10th person happens to be a close contact of a previously confirmed case.

The 3 new cases in Abuja are being treated at the University Of Abuja Teaching Hospital while the 7 in Lagos are being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. They all have mild to moderate symptoms.

“The three cases in the FCT are being treated at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada while the 7 (seven) new cases in Lagos are being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Yaba. All 10 (ten) new cases have mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving treatment.

As of the time of writing this report, the index case in Nigeria have been tested negative and discharged. There has been a total of 288,011  coronavirus cases in the world, with 11,949 dead and 93,617 recovered.
